Information we collect

• Information you give us. Name, email address, phone number (when you provide it), property state, purchase or refinance goals, estimated income, estimated down payment, credit score range, veteran status, and anything else you type into a form or the chat window.
• Automatically collected information. IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring/UTM parameters, collected through standard web analytics.

We do not pull your credit as part of using this website, and we do not collect Social Security numbers through this site.

How we use your information

• To respond to your questions and follow up on your mortgage inquiry.
• To prepare estimates, pre-approval reviews, and loan options for you.
• To send you messages you asked for, including email updates and text messages.
• To meet legal, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations.
• To improve the website and understand how visitors use it.

Text messaging (SMS) privacy

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services (for example, our messaging platform) solely so the messages you requested can be delivered.

SMS consent is collected on this website through the chat window in the bottom-right corner of the screen. When you enter your phone number there and agree to be contacted, you are opting in to receive text messages from The Mortgage Goonie about your mortgage inquiry — conversational replies, appointment and document reminders, and status notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your loan application.

How we share information

We share information only with parties needed to serve you: Golden Mortgage and its underwriting and processing staff, lenders and investors evaluating your file, credit reporting agencies (only with your separate authorization), settlement and title services, and technology vendors that host our website, email, and messaging tools under contract.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not buy, sell, trade, or resell leads. We do not share your information with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality and aggregate analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

Data retention and security

We keep inquiry and loan-related records as long as required by mortgage lending and licensing regulations, then dispose of them securely. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not email sensitive documents unencrypted.

• Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email we send.
• Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
